More Housing on the Way

Investors have flooded Mission Bay South with billions of dollars over the last eight years, leaving behind a new hospital, parks, boxy apartment buildings and millions of square feet of biotech research space.

But amid all the construction, a patch of fenced-in dirt in Mission Bay North — a section of the neighborhood that was mostly built out before 2008 — has sat untouched and seemingly forgotten in the shadow of Interstate 280.
