Chef-restauranteur Daniel Patterson is bringing a casual offshoot of his mid-Market concept Alta CA to Dogpatch, called Alta Cafe & Bar.
According to the Minnesota Street Project website, you can expect “a warm and welcoming setting, a menu of contemporary American food accented by the flavors of Eastern Europe, and a dynamic experience that transforms throughout the day.” A rotisserie is going to be a focal point at the new location, with meats and seasonal vegetables forming the core of the evening menu.
The space will be decorated with local art, and feature a 45-seat bar — even larger than the one at the center of the Market Street location.
Daniel Patterson Group wine director Mark Mendoza will be curating a wine and cocktail menu for the new offshoot, and there will be weekend brunch served as well.
“Local artists have always been an important part of Bay Area culture,” says Patterson. “I am excited to be able to contribute to this project, which will help support our art community.”
Alta Cafe & Bar opens this spring.
